In a game with good defence and handling errors on both sides, saw Newick sneak a try in the last quarter of the game with Russell crossing the line.

Newick had the advantage of a full bench which were chopped and changed to try people in different positions and in different combinations.

There were many positives in the game and with the first round of the RFU National Cups starting next week, any playing time at all can only be an advantage.

With the cup next week we would love to see a nice full touchline of supporters and we also plan to sell off last season's playing kit, so if you have a favoured number, make sure you are there to get it....

Kick off for the cup game will be 2:30 to allow for any extra time.
